Nitrogon NT06-Lite Cooler

Due to the original design of the case, there are strict limitations for the CPU cooler. And those limitations are the reason why Silverstone also bundled their Nitrogon NT06-Lite cooler with the case. The cooler comes in a see-through plastic case that allows one to see the cooler. Luckily the edges aren't seamed and the packet is easy to open.

The amount of mounting hardware packed in is crazy. The piece in the middle is a support plate that comes behind the motherboard. On the left one can see also a syringe of silver paste - some may argue if the thermal grease has any effect on the cooling performance of the cooler, but atleast I rather use quality paste than the generic thermal grease that normally comes with coolers.

Despite a foam block that supported the cooler during shipping, the cooled had bent when we got it. The three thick heatpipes aren't actually easy to bend so damage this bad really makes me wonder if someone drove over the cooler on the on its way here. On the fan shroud there are mounting holes for a 120 mm fan, but the fan isn't supplied with the case and doesn't fit in between the cooler and the power supply above it.

The bottom of the cooler has grooves all over it. These aren't too deep and shouldn't really affect the cooling performance. That remains to be seen though.
