Installation to Antec P180B

The installation using the Radbox begins by mounting the flat piece of the box to the 120 mm fan hole on the back of the case. Clearly this is just an example installation and the case is empty, but with the spacers a normal exhaust fan could still be used in the hole. When installing the radiator this way you want to make sure all the screws are properly tightened and the construction feels sturdy, because the rad-assembly will be rather heavy and with the thick hoses adding a twist there will be some forces involved.

After the plate is secured, the other part of the Radbox with the fans and rad are secured in place with four tiny screws. Here the radiator is mounted so that holes would have to be drilled to the rear panel and the PCI-bracket is only used for the fan cables.

The downside of this installation is the outlooks and also the inconvenience when moving the rig around. The radiator is outside the case, which is good for the tempeartures, but sticking up to 13 centimeters from the rear panel it will also be always on the way if you take your computer to LAN-parties etc.

Installation to Cooler Master Storm Sniper

Radiator got installed in the roof of the sniper where there are ready fan holes for two 120 mm fans. The fans were placed on top of the radiator to suck air through it as pulling air rather than pushing has been proven a bit better method. The radiator fits nicely to the roof of the Sniper, but two mounting holes are partly under it, which makes mounting the motherboard a bit harder.

In quick SketchUp models it seemed like fitting the parts in the 5,25" drive bay would be rather easy, but after trying a couple of layouts with the parts in the actual case I figure it wasn't going to happen, not with the thick hoses running all over the place atleast. And after some more thinking just decided to fabricate a custom platform to be installed in the bottom of the 5,25" drive cage.
