The software

The main view of the software is very similar to what we've seen in other gaming mouse reviews. From this page one can set the desired functions for each of the nine buttons. The actions feature the usual mouse buttons, as well as the common copy-paste-cut-save-print-commands. Of course the mouse also lets you set a different macro for each button.

Also the macro editor works with the same logic as the editors seen in other reviews. Just hit the record-button, enter the key sequence you want, stop the recording and, if needed, adjust the delays between the presses. Nothing special, but everything works just as you'd expect.

Clicking the gear-symbol on the main view takes you to the advanced settings-window where you can set the four sensitivity settings to your liking. The sensitivity can be adjusted independently for Y- and X-axis with 100 DPI intervals. The same view also packs the double click speed, cursor speed and scroll speed-settings, as well as the polling rate.

The led-symbol next to the gear takes you to the light control view, where it's possible to change the colors of the scroll wheel, the stripes on the sides of the mouse and the Tt-logo at the back. These settings are individual for each profile, which makes choosing the correct profile that much easier.

As separate tools the software bundle also features a tool for automatically updating the firmware of the mouse, another which lets you change the lift distance and finally one that lets you tweak the button response. Having different programs for these functions seems rather odd, because in my opinion Thermaltake could have just added another tab to the main driver and had these settings there.
