The braided cable of the keyboard leaves through the centre, but can be routed slightly to the left or right via built-in cable canals. The two ports of the USB-hub have been split to the left and right, which also helps route cables and also means that even the chunkiest thumb-drives can be installed to both ports without compatibility issues.

The Meka uses black Cherry MX-switches, which give smooth non-tactile response with 60 g button force. There are no back lights on the keys, but as a nice little detail the lock-signal leds are embedded to the keys.
