Radio controller feels "plastic" but for a toy like this, it is surprisingly well made. It also offers quite a nice array of features, including four channels, 2.4 GHz frequency, digital trims for all the four channels, LCD screen, flight mode selection and 360 loop buttons.
Controller configuration is MODE 2, meaning that the throttle is on the left stick. That is how I prefer things so it is ok for me but this is something worth noting if you have accustomed to use Mode 1 radios.
The LCD screen is very informative. It shows the signal strength, controller's battery charge level, trim settings, flight mode selection (do not confuse with radio mode selection!) and finally the throttle position in percents.
The screen is back lit and easily readable even in sunlight. The controller also includes audible feedback from various button presses so you know that the command was received even when you are not looking at the screen.
In use
There is terms like MODE 1 and MODE 2 when it comes to RC radios. These indicate the controller configuration. In UDIRC UFO there is also a mode selection but it does not have anything to do with the stick configuration. Instead, the mode selection indicates if you are flying with "easy to fly" or "advanced flight" mode. There is not that much difference between these modes, other just allows you to make larger alterations to the attitude of the copter.
Controls are not fully analog. This makes the copter easier to fly. For example in Mode 1 (easy), when you push forward on the elevator, the copter pushes the nose down on a certain angle. It does not matter how far you push the stick, the attitude remains the same. This is sad news if you were planning on doing acrobatics with this copter but you have to remember, this is only a toy.

Conclusion
If you have tried those single/dual rotor toy copters and found them interesting, then you will just love this quad. It is like a bee with bad case of ADHD! Fast, nimble and still easy to learn. The design of the rotor blades makes them tolerant to abuse and since you get a spare set, it is safe to practice even the most daring moves. The radio is a real 2.4 GHz system thus allowing you to fly this quad outside. It is a toy but I'm confident that anyone above 7 years of age will find the interesting and fun to play with.
