Hydro Series H100

The basic structure of the H100 is exactly the same as any other water cooler we've reviewed - there's the block with an integrated pump, a radiator and hoses connecting the two components. Anyway both of these main components are different from what we've seen, the most visible difference is ofcourse the radiator, but also the pump is cleverer than the ones we've seen earlier.

On the H100 the fans are connected to the pump, rather than directly to the motherboard and they can be controlled by the button on the top of the pump. Integrated fan controller can be handy, but the location of the controller button is really awkward in real life.

Looking at the sides of the pump there are connectors for four fans and a fifth connector for Corsair Link. The Corsair Link-system allows you to control and monitor your cooling (and lighting) via USB, but as we haven't yet received the required Link Commander, we can't yet show you in-depth how the system works.

The copper base is just like the ones we've seen on earlier Corsair models. The finish is a bit crude, but the marks aren't deep and the base is flat, so it shouldn't hurt the cooling performance.
