IntroWe've reviewed endless amounts of cases and this time we're taking a close look at yet another - except not. It's a specialized test bench, aimed at the enthusiasts, overclockers and hardware reviewers that just can't stop tinkering with the internals of their PCs. From the stuff we've reviewed the Antec Skeleton is really the only thing that comes close to a test bench, but even that was trying to also be a more traditional case. When it comes to the real test benches, Dimastech is the best known brand. They are also the ones who sent us their latest creation - the Easyhard V2.5 test bench. |
Package & Specs

The Easyhard comes packed in a basic brown cardboard box with not much to show, so here's what's inside instead. All the parts come extremely well packed in a shape-cut block of styrofoam and really the box needs to be driven over before the goods inside will get damaged.

Bundle

Packed inside all the foam comes a load of various sheet metal parts. Starting from the left there's the very sturdy bracket for mounting the CPU-LN2-pot, PSU mount, 3,5" and 5,25" drive cages. On the top-right there are five different fan mounts, under those a flexible shaft and sixth fan mount and on the bottom middle two mounts for the expansion cards.

Beside the sheet metal parts there's also similarly massive load of mounting hardware. Again starting from the left there are the manual, power- and reset buttons with separate cables, four rubber feet, long threaded rod for mounting the LN2-pot and on the far right two handles for the Hard as well as a single USB-header. The amount of different thumb screws is just crazy.
