IntroAfter the last HIS HD68-series review we thought with three different HD6850's and two HD6870's we'd covered the Barts-cards well enough, but changed our mind when HIS told us they'd launch the world's fastest HD6870. The entire name of the card is HD6870 IceQ X Turbo X, and it features the same IceQ X-cooler as the HD6850 we already saw earlier. What else does the card offer? Let's find out! |
Package & Specs
In the usual HIS fashion the card is packed into a reasonably sized box with details printed all around it. Inside the box the card is padded with a plastic holder to prevent any shipping damage. Being an IceQ X card there's again some impressive claims about the cooler performance. There's also a "Turbo X" sticker stating the card is factory overclocked, but no word of the actual clock speeds.
Bundle
Inside the box also the bundle is what we've seen with other HIS-cards. There are two power adapters, a DVI-VGA-block, crossfire bridge and a quick installation guide with the driver CD. Nothing special here, but once again the power adapters seem out of place in the year 2011.
