Temperatures
The CPU-cooler fan was running at full speed all the time, while the GPU was using its own fan controller. In practice this meant that under load the GPU-fan was running at 2500 RPM. Case fans were operated at 12 volts.

Temperature measurements point out that Switch 810's cooling performance is excellent even with stock fans. It's possible to build for example a multi-GPU setup to Switch 810 without suffering from any cooling difficulties.
Noise

The case isn’t originally very silent because there are three 140 mm fans running at 12 volts each. When the fans are set to run at a lower speed the noise gets quieter but still it could be more silent. This isn’t the best choice for a person who wants to build a silent computer. Though this case isn’t designer to be silent, it’s supposed to have a good cooling performance and ability to extensibility.
Conclusion
NZXT Switch NZXT Switch 810 is a real dark horse. It would definitely have earned Editor's Choice -award if NZXT used less plastic and instead made the parts of aluminum. Other than that the case is a great choice for users that require great cooling performance and good extensibility from a system enclosure. Current price for the NZXT Switch 810 system enclosure is around $230 (~180 euros). |
