Installation
For temperature testing we used the same LGA1156-based setup as last time. The installation to Intel-platforms is absolutely identical with that of the Noctua NH-D14 and C14 we reviewed last time.

The four screws are put through the right holes on the support plate and placed behind the motherboard. Then a single spacer is added to each screw, on top of the spacers goes the installation brackets in the orientation best suited for the case airflow, and then the bracket is secured in place with four thumb nuts.

An installation bar is secured to the base of the cooler with a thumb screw, and after that the cooler is just dropped in place and tightened with two spring-loaded screws. The final step is to install the rubber dampening strips for the fans and the fans themselves.
This really is the best way to mount a heavy tower cooler that we've seen!
