Early this year Silverstone came up with Raven chassis that got some rather unique features, including positive pressure cooling and motherboard in weird 90-degree angle. After the initial launch the guys at Silverstone haven't been resting on their laurels, but been busy working with the new version, and now the Raven 2 is out and also arrived to our tests. It's supposed to follow the trends set by the original case, but also differ in some areas, so lets see what all this Raven-stuff is all about!
Package & Specs
The Raven came to our test in an all-black and weirdly shaped box. The photos of the actual case are pretty hazy, but other than that all the specs and handles are all there. The main selling points seem to be 90 degree motherboard mounting and positive pressure.

Looking at the specifications it seems like a pretty common sized steel case, but looking closer you can see that actually the size seems odd and it's very deep instead of high. There also a model with no window available, but ours came with the optional window. For cooling there are three of the massive 180 mm fans we've already familiar with after the Fortress review. At 12,5 kg it's not really an optimal case for LAN-parties, and obviously Ravens only come in matte black.
The bundle includes the users guide, bag of screws, some re-usable cable ties, fan adapter and a load of plastic parts for mounting various stuff. There's mounting kits for an external 3,5" drive, a 2,5" SSD-drive and also a water cooling radiator. The velcro tie is actually meant for mounting the power supply.
