The drive itself is a flat black affair with the model sticker on the top side and S-ATA power- and data connectors at one end. Apparently Verbatim doesn't mind users taking a peek inside, as there's no warranty void-sticker on any of the four screws holding the drive together.
Inside there are sixteen 8 GB memory chips manufactured by Toshiba and a single Hynix cache-chip. The controller used here is Phison PS3105-35-1 and it will be interesting to see how this performs in various benchmarks against the Sandforce used in the Corsair SSDs.
