This time we'll try something bit different. Youtube has
become a valuable tool for sharing videos and clips around the net. Because of this I made a tutorial video on how to
open up the Wii for modding. Steps are not too difficult but there are several of them as Wii is almost covered with
screws. To make things bit more difficult, some of the screws are Tri-Wing ones. For these you'll need a purpose made screwdriver or
properly sized flathead that wedges between two out of three slots on the screw head.
And while this review is about Wiinja, the opening of the Wii console is the process that is the same for all
current modchips so store a link to this review for future reference!

Modchip installation
Now that we have the console opened up, we can proceed with the actual installation of the modchip. You should have
a low-wattage soldering iron with a thin tip, some solder and five wires standing by. Once again, I'll let the
Youtube video do the talking...
So there you have it. Installation should be relatively easy one for anyone that has used a soldering iron before.
The solder pads on the PCB (printed circuit board) of the DVD-drive are not that small and they are located relatively
far apart. Just take it slow and carefully and you'll do just fine.
