I have always liked small computers, partly because they are aesthetical, and partly because I like going to LAN-parties. Someone might say "Why don´t you buy a laptop?" Well you can´t get a gaming capable laptop for a decent price and you can´t even talk about upgradeability with laptops. I don´t like Shuttle-like cube-cases, and cooling solutions in those usually suck. And of course, I love modding and building computer cases.

This time I tried to build the ultimate lanbox, easy to transport but powerful enough for modern games. Why carry several boxes when you can carry only one? I decided to integrate the computer with a display. I know, the idea is old and Apple has already done it with iMac. I´ve also already seen computers modded into crt-monitors. So I´ll throw in some led-lights, my weird cooling solutions and hope something good comes up. :)

My old socket A motherboard decided to quit functioning during the making of this mod, so don´t wonder why the parts change during the article. I upgraded from AXP 2500+ and GF 6600GT agp to A64 3500+ and GF 6800GT PCI-e.
