This case had originally a K6-2 333mhz.
Had to enhance the airflow;
- front plastic grill: half of bars sawed - front metal grill (not visible) drilled away, it wasn't intended for cooling at all I guess. - back grill: destroyed with screwdriver etc and 80->92mm
light with 1,5 euros: one 260ohm resistor and 1 superbright led in the front! Looks quite nice for the price.
Front sidebars done 2x priming paint and 3x shiny black. Original color was bright green, very ugly.
Interior coated with bitumen.
money spent:
- led 1,5e - bitumen 12e - paint 10e (still left)
COMING NEXT: full jet black shiny paint. 120mm blowhole, selfmade rpm-controller.
hardware: XP2600+ @ 2.2ghz, R9700PRO 330/660, cl2 3-2-2 kingston hyperX 2x256mb, A7N8X, Zalman 400W, 80gt seagate + 120gt maxtor@silentdrive. etc.
Main point is to have reasonably good looking computer with a minibudget.

| (One more thing; bear with me.) You want a "reasonably good-looking computer," right? I think white is a good color for this. If you can get your ENTIRE case painted jet black, drives included, then go right ahead. Personally, I wouldn't put white drives in a black computer. Might want to consider painting the black trim white. |

Looks like some case modder got locked in their company's computer room over the weekend... :-)
I think it looks good without the window. It has a touch of class to it, plus the inside really isn't much to show off. If you're going for the window, I recommend some form of wire management. A modular power supply will help you tremendously here, as you can just take out the leads you don't need. Also, replace those flat cables with rounded ones (or paint them a different color at least, they're ugly. |

sasseli: bitumia on molemmissa kyljissä, ei tosin näy kun on kylki pois ;) Johtoi ei oikeestaan ole "modattu" yhtään.
--- The cables are pretty ugly but better than before. The rounded ide is pretty stiff and the zalman's powercable to mobo even stiffer.
Better pic of the interior (320k): http://koti.mbnet.fi/grz/hw/inside.jpg PSU's airflow isn't blocked 100% although it looks like it. Wiring is still ugly though. |

Thanks guys.
I'm not quite sure what "bitumi" is in english, bitumen is what a translator gave me. It's that 4mm thick stuff that's very heavy. Bought it from a car parts shop.
Dust filters might be a very good idea =) |

Bitumen is like this weird industrial sponge or something.
Like Nado said, it's a good start, but it's just the start so 2/5. |
