Who am I?

Let's see. I was born in 1977 in Sweden and moved via Vantaa and Jyväskylä to Raahe. Perhaps this moving has caused that I adjust myself to new situations and make friends quite easily. On the other hand, this constant moving has disadvantages too: I have had to start from the beginning in every place.

I learnt to use Internet in the high school and quite soon learnt to know Jani. We got married in June 1996. There has been ups and downs, but doesn't everybody have them? :) Sara Emilia was born in May 2000 and I try to keep her homepages up to date. I was more or less at home until autumn 2001, when Sara started in daycare and I returned back to school. I graduated in May 2002 and stayed for a while at home. In spring 2003 I returned to work and started at engineering firm Visetec Oy as an Intranet developer. I was unemployed some months before I continued as a SW Designer, and now working takes again a big part of my day :)

During days Sara is at daycare; I couldn't afford her enough activities, if she were just at home with me. At evenings and on week-ends we do things together. I chat in IRC occasionally. Other things that keep me active are writing letters, designing homepages, handicrafts and reading. I try to find time for these, mainly at night when Sara is already sleeping. The most important hobby at the moment seems to be Raahe breastfeeding peer support group, where I am one of the leaders.

Time from my hobbies is taking my new challenge: I started studying at the University of Oulu in the Department of Information Processing Science. My goal is to graduate as a Master of information security around 2007-2008. Until now it has been quite ok to both work and study, plus also manage family and household at the same time :)
