The software of the R.A.T.7 is a simple looking thing with just four tabs: product, settings, programming and support. There are no actual settings on the first of fourth tab, just product information, update and such, so lets just go through the two middle ones.
On settings-tab there's the sensitivity settings. There are four different modes, and for each you can set Y- and X-axis sensitivities independently. At the bottom of the screen there's settings for the precision aim-feature. This feature is what the red thumb buttons is for, and by hitting that key you can slow the cursor speed down while carefully aiming the headshot.
The key functions can be set on the programming tab. The available actions include the usual set of key strokes, but also macros and also advanced commands which are like more complex macros.
The advanced command editor records both key- and mouse clicks and also the delays between pressing and releasing the keys.
