ReadOut

1 GB ReadOut
It almost seems that the Readout borrows some of its design from Ipods and Mac products in general. White plastic with strip of reflective plastic on top of it. Not a bad color and I'm sure many of you will find this product very stylish.

Display shows any valid drive label that you assign to the USB Drive. Four digit number below shows the amount of free space on drive in Megabytes. On the left is the pie chart that gives you a rough idea how much space you have left on the drive. Greatest thing about this display is that it keeps the reading visible even when not connected to a computer. It doesn't need a battery to do so as it uses a new Bi-stable Cholesteric Display (BCD) and not a regular LCD module.
On the left side of the display is a small activity led. I'm not sure why they decided to use green led as it doesn't seem to go well with the rest of the drive. Blue or even white would have been a lot better in my opinion.

Quality control
For some reason the build quality of the drive just isn't what I've learnt to expect from Corsair. Hopefully this is just an issue with the first batch. In this review sample we have a small plastic piece sticking out from between the display module and the window. Not a major issue but something that I wouldn't want to see leaving the factory unnoticed.

Units
Side-by-side with some of the competition. Readout has the same dimensions with the Kingston's DataTraveler Elite so it will fit the same places as the majority of the USB Drives in use today. All I can say that the display makes the Readout stand out from the other two quite nicely.
