If I could change something, I would use even more time on planning and drawing before touching tools. That really spares from needless work. The question is, was it worth the pain? Every modder knows projects like this are not meant to be fast, easy or sensible in any way. Modding is a hobby and it shouldn't be taken too seriously. Sure I could have bought a case but this project gave me something to do during 5 months. So yes it was worth it, now I have a case which looks just like I want.
