Removing the head

We start this mod by showing you how to remove the head from PEZ dispenser. Process is quite simple but in some models you need to use a fair amount of force.

Take for example a knife or flat-head screwdriver and push the sides of the white loader mechanism inside the head inwards. At the same time pull the dispenser away from the head and it should come off.

As there are many different types of flash drives available, I will be doing this mod by using two different memory sticks. The one shown here is bit wider than the other, thus requiring bit more room inside the dispenser body. The original casing of the USB Memory stick is also needed to be removed.

Items

We now have the head removed from the dispenser and we are set to test how well the memory stick will fit inside. Don't throw away that white loader mechanism as we are going to need it in this version of this mod.

Too wide

Edges of the opening are too narrow for the memory stick to slide in so we need to trim them a bit. This is something that is not needed for certain sticks so make sure that your unit needs this treatment before you start removing any material.
