Most pinball machines stand on four legs. In regular pinball machines the base box is usually a lot taller than it is in this machine so the stability of the long legs were a real concern.
One can buy these metallic legs from almost any hardware store. The end plug can be removed for shortening the leg with a hacksaw. After that just push the plug back in.
Side trimming
I was feeling the pressure of the schedule at this time so there are not that many photos. :( In this shot I'm installing the aluminum profiles to the top edges. This to secure the top glass to place and also offer smoother corners to place one's hands on to.
In the end I think that the corners worked out just fine. The corner may appear sharp in this image but it is actually sanded pretty smooth. Cuts were made free-handed with a hacksaw.
Here is a shot from below. Here we can see how the legs are mounted. I used 12 mm thick plywood as a base to make the whole setup more stable and also to allow one to place the pinball machine on to a table without the legs. The clearance made by these risers allows the cool air to flow to the fan intake seen on the left.
The red circle indicates the position of the eye for the infrared remote.
