The power supply unit
The first PSU was a disaster waiting to happen. I had a 400W Fortron PSU, which wasn´t very good for this project. The heatsinks were small, and it was difficult to make the heatpipes have contact with them in any sensible way.

This is how it ended up. Not very pretty as you can see. Though the PCB is bent like that, the PSU still worked so I carried on.
HDD

In the original plan, a silencing box for the HDD wouldn´t fit in, so I did what I could. To lessen the resonance from the HDD I used rubber rings to mount it in place.

This was the original plan of how the case would look like. There were still some random crashings, although all the measured temps were in "ok" range. At that time I did not know what was causing it. I thought it might have been the CPU voltage regulators, and I decided to drastically change the design. (More pondering about the crashing in the conclusion.)
