Mouse & GamePad
Two very common input devices used with a computer system are mouse and gamepad/joystick. Mouse used in this article was IntelliMouse Optical USB, manufactured my Microsoft. Wireless GamePad, meant for XboX is manufactured by Logitech. Both items may decide life or dealth in fast paced action game and that is why they are ideal for this little experiment of ours. Rubbery surface will give better grip thus allowing you to continue gaming without concern of missed kill or crashed car by slippery controller.

IntelliMouse Optical
Surface of this mouse, like in so many other mice, is really smooth and the finish appears glossy. Grip isn't all that great but because of the shape, you can lift and move the mouse with your finger tips quite easily. It would be interesting to see what we can accomplish by using Plasti Dip on it.

Took apart
In my initial test I used the clear spray to cover both the buttons and the top cover. After that I decided to use the liquid Plasti Dip on the buttons to see the difference on the grip. Some people may prefer to have slippery mouse buttons and that is why it will be hard to say if the product suits the needs of every user. I feel that this has more to do with personal preference than the proved need to have better grip.

Logitech Wireless XboX GamePad
Cleaned and ready for our crazy experiment. GamePad will receive a treatment from the sprayed Plasti Dip. You could use the liquid form too but for larger areas the spray should offer better results. This againg something that we will see from the end results because this is the first time that I have ever used rubber coating products. No trial runs, no second takes! :)

Protected
I didn't want to spray the whole controller so I covered the areas that I didn't want to get sprayed with painter's tape (masking tape?). The spray we are using is clear so it should not leave any visible patterns on the gamepad. With colored spray it should be possible to make all sorts of designs or stripes.

Sprayed
All of the parts sprayed. I gave them two to three coats from ~25 cm distance. Items should be left to dry at least four hours, overnight if possible.
