Trial and Error

No trial runs, no second takes... I'm not sure how good idea is it to show how the first time failed. :) You never stop learning and this really proved it. I knew that I should remove the masking tape before the surface dries up, but because the product used was bit harmfull in every way I decided not to handle the items. The result...

Ugly...

Taking away the masking tape ended up being a disaster. Edge of the rubber coating started to come off and it wasn't pretty to look at. You could cover this up by taping along the edge of the rubber surface but I decided to remove the sprayed surface completely.

Peeling off

It was relatively easy to peel off the surface. Rubber coating was well stuck on the plastic surface of the controller and stretched rather than chipped away. Because of this, it should offer quite durable surface as long as it doesn't start to come off from the edges.

Here we go again...

For second attempt I decided to take the controller apart. Both front and the back pieces will get a full treatment from the spray can. This will remove the edges from where the coating could start to come off.
