All the controls that are needed to operate the V10 PocketCinema are at the top of the projector. Membrane switches need a firm press before they react, making them bit uncomfortable to use.
Power buttons needs a long 4 second push, both to power the unit up and shut it down. This to make sure you don't accidentally power it up. M-button returns user to the main menu and the directional buttons are used to navigate through the menus and also to adjust the volume level during the movie playback.
Holes located on the top are not for speaker. They are used to ventilate the unit. LED inside the projector gets quite warm and these holes ensure that the hot air can escape the unit more easily. There are no fans inside, V10 uses passive cooling only.
In Detail

Aiptek have placed the focus controller at the front corner of the unit. While the position of the focus wheel is good, it is not that great for making precise adjustment. The whole lense mechanism is linked directly to the wheel and it makes the adjustment a bit jerky.
The small semi-cirle is the IR receiver and the holes next to it are for one of the speakers.

From the other side we can locate the AV connector and the memory card slot. This multiformat (SD / SDHC / MMC / MS Pro) reader supports memory cards up to 8 gigabytes. This is a great feature as you may not have your computer or another data source with you every time. Just pop in a memory card and show your slideshow or movie from there. V10 also offers one gigabyte of built-in memory that one can use the same way.

From the bottom we can find the battery bay. Threads are for a tripod. These threads are "regular" ones that are used in most cameras (digital and analog) these days.

Dimensions: 4.9" x 2.1" x 0.9" / 124 x 53 x 23 mm
PocketCinema V10 is quite small and compares nicely to Nokia's E71 business phone. Easily the smallest stand-alone projector at the moment. Had Aiptek removed the rechargeable battery from their plans, the unit would have been a lot smaller. But the size isn't everything as we are about to see from the usage photos and video.
