The fan used in the Freezer Xtreme is a specially designed one that comes with a built-in clip for this particular cooler. It would be nice if the holder was separate and the fan a normal 120 mm model. The provided fan is specified at 1,8 W and 35,7 CFM and it has a four-pin PWM-connector.
Installation
The installation of the Freezer Xtreme is very straight forward. The first step is to remove the fan, then you need to get the cooler in place and the hooks around the AM3 socket cooler bracket. Then just use a long screw driver to tighten the two phillips head screws, pop the fan back in and you're done.
The Xtreme is the smallest of the three, and also the one that doesn't limit the height of the memories on the two slots closest to the CPU socket. The cooler design is also the only one that blows air sideways rather than from bottom to top. With some cases this is something to keep in mind.
