Thermaltake Jing

Air Cooler Roundup - Arctic Cooling vs. Thermaltake

The first thing about the Jing is the rather striking color combination of bright green and gray. As soon as you look past the colors, it's a pretty standard looking cooler design with copper base, five heatpipes, aluminum fins and two fans in push-pull configuration. The fans look weird with their open frames, but are essentially normal 120 mm fans.

The copper base is nickel coated and has a very nice reflective finish to it. On the base there are four holes for the mounting brackets. There are five 6 mm heatpipes running through the base and the heatsink.

With the fans and the plastic parts stripped off, you end up with a nice plain heatsink. Without the fans and other parts the heatsink alone weights 664 g, which is much more than the Freezer's 548 grams.
