Thermaltake FrioOCK

Air Cooler Roundup - Arctic Cooling vs. Thermaltake

The key to the supposedly monstrous cooling power of the FrioOCK are the 130 mm fans, and here they are. I must admit the combination of black frame and translucent works for me better than the green-and-gray on the Jing. This time around both fans are hooked to a single fan controller and a 3-pin power connector. Seeing the fans spin up to 2100 RPM, this time the controller really does make sense, as one can set the desired maximum fan speed somewhere under the 2100 RPM and then let the motherboard fan controller take care of the rest. This way the RPM, and the noise, always remain under the desired maximum level.

Installation

The installation of the FrioOCK is just like the Jing, with the only difference being that this time both fans are held in one fan holder rather than separately. Get heatsink in place, snap the hood on and it's done. Very easy once again.
