Let there be light!

We all have seen fans with led lighting. We saw this regular lighting already inside this review when we took a closer look at Bluegears 120 mm Chrome Led Fan. b-COOL on the other hand brings something new to the table. Why just show some pretty colors when you have the know-how to make something that writes text to midair.

Clocks and other messaging devices that uses the same technique have been available for some time now. Even when the science behind the effect has been around a while, it doesn't lessen the value of the innovation to use it in a new and novel place.

Working

It is kind of magical to see text floating midair. While you can't customize what it says, it is great to see that the Bluegears decided to add some intelligence to their product and not just show their name etc. on the fan. Temperature reading gives some real value to the lighting.

Looks way cooler when used in darker environment. This clip shows you how bright the effect is. Clearly visible even in strong ambient lighting.
