Testing

The Victim

I decided to test the vacuum with my current setup. I've installed a 12x12 fan on the front of the case to keep everything cooler. With 7 volt trick naturally. The fan is equipped with an industrial strength small particle filter and as you can see it really does its job. Lets see if the vacuum is up to the task.

Cleaned

Both images have been taken from the same situation. First image is without a flash and everything seems to be in order. I vacuumed the top half of the filter with the rubber nozzle and the dust seemed to come off just fine.

Image on the right is taken with a flash to show the details from "beneath the skin". As you can see, only the top layer is vacuumed properly. Deeper inside the filter you can still find dust particles that the vacuum cleaner was not able to pull out even with the high power setting. Still I believe that most of the dust was removed and that the vacuum did a pretty good job.

Dust

I then vacuumed the whole filter and this is the dust that came from it. Not a bad catch at all. The vacuum cleaner seems to work just fine with this kind of smooth surfaces.
