OS & CPU

B15Q is running almost a vanilla Android OS, current version 4.4.2. We shall see if this translates to fast updates for the customers when Google releases the updated versions for the developers. No bloatware is always a good thing.
The CPU is MT6582 from Mediatek. It is running at 1.3 GHz and offers 4 cores. This combined with the Mali-400 MP2 does offer good amounts of power for switching screens, browsing the web etc.
Benchmarks
There have been a lot of reports of manufacturers cheating on the benchmarks. It is not always easy to tell if the indicated perfomance is there or not. Not saying that this is the case at this time but as this is our first smartphone review, please, take these following results with a grain of salt.
3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited v1.2
Use Ice Storm Unlimited to make chip-to-chip comparisons of different chipsets, CPUs and GPUs without vertical sync, display resolution scaling and other operating system factors affecting the result.

Basemark OS II
The benchmark features a comprehensive suite of tests and produces an objective overall score as well as a breakdown of each tested area, including system, internal and external memory, graphics, web browsing, camera, battery and CPU consumption.
