Out of the box the case looks very familiar, the front bezel is brushed aluminum and on the side panel there's a large window. Other than the window it's all very sleek and stylish. There's also something new, first of all there's intake on the front panel and on the side panels there are quick-locks similar to those seen on the Graphite T600 case.
A closer look at the side panel better shows the large quick locks and also the window with its plastic frame. It's weird that the otherwise so subtle looking case only comes in the windower variety, as I'm sure there are plenty of customers like me that would rather just have a plain steel side panel.
The cooling has been totally re-designed since the first Obsidian and it's now of the more common front-to-back variety. This means that there's now an intake on the front bezel, equipped with a dust filter that sits flush with the front panel but easily pops out for cleaning when pressed from the corners. Removing the filter reveals one of the cases' 200 mm fans.
