Inside

With the sidepanels removed we can finally get a good look at the internal design of the case. The black interior and the holes for cable managing sure remind of other Corsair cases, but overall the design is really close to the Silverstone Fortress FT01 case we reviewed earlier. This is a good thing as the FT01 is one of our all time favorite cases, but there are also differences, as the 650D is overall more spacious, comes with proper cable managing and the top fan is an exhaust.

It also comes with very clever HDD-cages. There are two three-drive units that can easily be split apart, removed or moved next to each other at the bottom of the case. This may become handy with extremely long graphic cards, and if you only need less than three hard drive bays, removing the top part will help with air flow as well.

Looking at the motherboard tray from the behind shows a generous number of cable managing holes and the large cutout for installing a CPU-cooler. The backside of the HDD-bays has been left open and there are a number of anchor points for cable ties. There's also a good 20 mm gap between the motherboard tray and the side panel, so fitting the side panel back on shouldn't be a problem.
