Tests

PCMark2002

PCMark2002 Crunch test shows us interesting results. While AMD system is clearly slower than P4 systems, it's odd that DFI is so much slower than Asus. Hyper Threading kicks AMD's ass here definitely.

3DMark2001SE

3DMark03 CPU

AquaMark3

It seems that somehow DFI suffers in tests which takes advantage of HyperThreading feature of P4. Reason to this is unknown to me.

SiSoft Sandra 2004

Asus have more raw memory bandwidth in SiSoft Sandra 2004's unoptimized and unbuffered memory test than DFI.

Quake III Arena

Unreal Tournament 2003

Performance tests clearly indicate that i865PE based Asus P4P800 is actually a little faster than i875P based DFI Infinity 875. But Asus is only fast when Memory Acceleration Mode is on and you cannot use that feature with memory dividers or at high FSB's. DFI however can and that makes it better choice if you plan to use memory dividers or high FSB's. Let's look that situation a bit closer on overclocking part on the next page.
