The case of the Corsair HX620W is made from thick steel and is painted matt black. I wonder if it was painted after assembling because opening the cover was a very difficult operation. Perhaps this is one way to say "no user repairable parts inside".

One of the best things on the HX620W power supply is of course the modularity. You'll only connect the cables you need, and put the rest of cables in the bag supplied with the power supply. Only minus on modularity on the HX620W is that it isn't actually fully modular. It means that the motherboard power connectors are not interchangeable.

Here is one other good thing of the HX620W, squeeze'n'pull device connectors. These connectors make the disconnecting of the connectors much easier and even there are some cases when the remove-mechanism blocks the installation, I still think using this kind of connectors is a good thing.

But what the heck is purpose of these fan only cables when there's no fan only-rail in this PSU? Full 12 volts are delivered to these connectors all the time. Is this only to keep the cable costs low by saving two wires and pins per cable? Regular 4-pin Y-cable would have been a lot more useful.

There is no cable sleeving on the cables of HX620W, but Corsair has used black ribbon cables so the wires actually look pretty nice.
