NH-C14

Starting off with the NH-C14 and first things first: it's absolutely massive. Both fans here are 140 mm, which gives some idea of the size. Besides the six heatpipes, there's also an additional steel support keeping the heatsink in shape.
Base

The base is very very flat and also has a nice nickel plating finish. There are six 6 mm heatpipes moving the heat from the base to the fins, and the spring loaded installation brackets are pre-installed out of the box.
Cooler

The entire heatsink is nickel plated, which makes it all look very nice. Stuffed between the heatsink fins are some silicon pieces that prevent fan vibrations from entering the fins. The two holes seen in this picture are there to make the installation possible.

Commonly these horisontal cooler designs find their way to slim cases, but the NH-14 is so large it still takes a pretty wide case to fit properly. With both fans installed the total height is 130 mm, but ofcourse it's also possible to leave the top fan off and use the cooler with just the bottom fan installed.
Fans

The cooler comes with two of Noctua's own NF-P14 fans, these fans use SSO-bearing (self-stabilising oil-pressure), which supposedly gives them superior life span when compared to both sleeve- and ball bearing fans. At full speed these fans run at 1200 RPM, producing 110 m³ of airflow and 19,6 dB(A) noise, but with the provided L.N.A. and U.L.N.A.-adapters the speeds can be dropped to 900- and 750 RPM and noise to 13,2 or 10,1 dB(A) respectively.
