Sapphire HD 5850 Toxic

Being in the Toxic-series of Sapphire cards, the 5850 comes factory overclocked and as seen here, Sapphire has also beefed up the stock cooling. The front side of the card is entirely covered in the shroud of the cooler with a large fan in the middle. Blue seems to be the color of choice for Sapphire and in terms of color scheme the card reminds very much of the HD 5750 Vapor-X's we saw earlier.

The same blue theme continues on the PCB. All the memory chips are placed on the front side of the card so there's not much to see on the backside. Only the mounting screws for the cooler assembly and the two crossfire connectors.

Looking at the rear there are the two DVI-I-connectors, a HDMI and a Display Port. As we've already learned from previous 5-series reviews, also the 5850 Toxic supports the Eyefinity and three simultaneous screens. There's also a small ventilation hole for hot air to come through, even though the cooler doesn't actually push much of the hot air out through here.
