Getting the card in, really didn't take that much effort, but sure enough it was a bit harder than in a large ATX-case. As the Palit card uses a 8-pin PCI-e connector instead of the 6-pin connector which the power supply has, I actually had to use one of the 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-e adapters. Luckily this only added a teeny amount of extra wires to the case, but it sure would have been better if the powersupply would've had the 6+2 pin connector to start with.

The bigger problem which I faced when installing the graphics card, was the fact that the 3.5" drive, which sits sideways, comes close enough to the expansion area that the SATA-cable actually was in the way of the graphics card. SilverStone does actually inform the customers of this, and the whole problem is easily avoided by using a SATA-cable with a 90-degree angle on one of the connectors. Knowing the clearance problem, it would have been great if SilverStone had bundled one of these cables with the case.

Now that the whole setup is completely assembled, we can close the lid and hope that the setup boots. If not, well, then you'll probably have to rip the whole thing apart again. For example on this motherboard, the clear CMOS jumper is in a place where you have no chance of reaching due to the placement of the powersupply, the top brace and close proximity to the graphics card, before you at least take out the graphics card.

After getting the whole assembly behind me, I could only feel a bit disappointed in the craftsmanship of the case. Sure these are all rather minor details, but most of them could be fixed with minimal effort.

After battling with some hardware issues, I finally managed to get the system up and running. I was very pleasantly surprised that the 300 W SFX powersupply could manage with the considerable strain which the system posed on it. After all a Q6600 combined with an HD4850 is not the first thing that comes into mind when building a rig for a 300 W powersupply.
