Now that you know what the SmartXX Modchip itself has to offer, it is time to show you one of the best possible piece of code that you can run with it. XBMC, or Xbox Media Center is a free open source multimedia player for Xbox. You can use it to watch movies and tons of different formats, listen music, handle all of your games etc. You can load all this info via a CD/DVD, a harddrive or stream it from your own PC, other PCs from your LAN or even internet. A VERY long feature list can be seen on the XBMC project's Info page.
Main menu
This is the main menu with "Project Mayhem II" skin. On top you can see the news scroller, on the left are the different media paths you can take and the bottom right houses some special links to movie and game trailers etc. Also shows the time and date.
Music menu
To give you some idea how the different menus work, here is the Music section. You can alter the different choices via a XML file if you don't need for example the Shoutcast section. From here you can handle the playlists, RIP CD audio and select the source of the audio material.
Shoutcast streams
This is a list of top 500 Shoutcast radio stations. Select your favourite and listen the endless streams coming from the internet.
My files
As the Xbox is like a PC, you can see C, D, E etc. drives. on the file management section. From here you can copy files from you burned DVD to Xbox or delete movies that you have already watched.
