In Use
The Naos quite simply became my favorite mouse straight away. It fits my hand just right, the buttons are just where they should and to top it off it also comes with a nice surface finish. In games the tracking is accurate and smooth and switching DPI on the fly is easy. Personally I never use the extra weights on mice anyway so I don't mind the rather sloppy weight system either.
Conclusion
Overall the Naos 5000 is a solid performer with some nice software tricks up its sleeve. I still think the shape of any given mouse is the main thing, and the Naos fits my hand perfectly. The build quality, apart from the weight doors, is great: the surface finish is pleasant to use for long periods at a time, and the sleeved cable gives the mouse a nice high quality touch. The software is un-cluttered and besides the main features also comes with settings for lift distance and ofcourse the light settings. I've been using the Logitech MX518 for a couple of years already, but after trying the Naos have absolutely no reason to change back to it. I think that makes this a product worth our Editors Choice award! |
