QPAD XT-R & EC-R
Hard surface gaming mousepads.

I spent some time thinking how I could measure the slide resistance of the mouse on the pads and finally came up with this thing.
It's just a piece of aluminum that can be lifted to different angles. Anges are then measured with an angle gauge.
I placed the pads on to the aluminum with a mouse and started lifting.
Even while the surfaces feel a bit different, the angles were the same on both pads.
Using the Qpad sliders this angle needed for movement was about one degree lower.
I also tested how the pads act in games and noticed that these pads are pretty much optimal for me.
Sliding is fast but still feels controlled.
Compared to my old fabric pad the rought surface is pretty noisy.
Not like it would be disturbing during intense gaming, especially not with headphones, but I definitely noticed it.
As my mouse is wireless I also had troubles with the battery cover that scratched the pad when the mouse had the mouse skates on.
Seems like the Qpad's mouse skates are slightly lower than the original ones that came with the mouse.

QPAD XT-R
PROS
Slippery
Nice box
CONS
Higher than the EC-R
According to the specifications, the surface is different than the one found on EC-R. I didn't notice any differences in
usability, glide properties etc. Compared to the all-black EC-R, the grey Q-logo on XT-R is a nice touch. XT-R doesn't feel
too flexible and may crack if abused, but in normal use this pad should last for years.

QPAD EC-R
PROS
Very slim
Slippery
Extremely good grip on the base
Nice box
CONS

EC-R was, especially thanks to its slim design, nice to use. Its surface is very slippery and the base holds the mousepad firmly in
place on the table. Surface feels durable and I hope it stands out the test of longer usage. If it doesn't, we'll report it.
