Wireless

The power source is a 2500 mAh 1,2 V NiMH rechargeable battery manufactured GP. It is AA size, so it can be replaced with a similar battery.

The battery is installed by removing the rear panel and then unlocking the door for battery (in picture the battery is installed backwards).
The battery should last about 12 hours of continuous gaming, and charging from 0 % to 100 % takes 8 hours (0-90 % takes 4 hours). The battery life is a bit short, so you have to remember to put it to the charging dock when you're not using the mouse. In case you run out of battery in the middle of the game, you can plug the mouse to your computer with a cable that is provided with the bundle.
Charging

The charging station is fairly simple unit. There is a LED-lighted synchronization button in the front panel and above the button there are two POGO pins, which charge the mouse. The dock itself powers up via an USB A -> Mini-B cable.
Wired?

Even though the mouse is wireless, it can be also used with a wire. Using the same cable as the charging dock, you can connect the mouse to your computer. This is a nice feature, which can be a real life saviour, when you run out of battery and you still need to keep using the mouse.
Unfortunately the gap under the scroll is fairly narrow, so there may not be enough room for a regular mini-USB connector.
