DEVO 4

With the RTF package you'll receive the new DEVO 4 transmitter. This four channel 2.4 GHz radio offers all the basic essentials but nothing extra in terms of functionality. You have the four channels needed for flight and the trimmers for them as well. On the upper right corner there is the D/R button that acts as a Double Rate selection. Faster rates mean faster movement on the model with the same stick input.
You do not get any programmability at all, you can't alter the curves or endpoints. Does this matter? To be honest, not really. For this particular quad this radio does offer all that it needs to be airborne but if you ever plan on getting a model with more features, possibly servo motors etc. I would suggest you get the Ladybird alone and buy a more advanced radio for it. If you buy this RTF set as a present for somebody or just plan to fly it "as a toy", this radio will do just fine.

At the backside of the radio there are dip switches that are used to reverse the channels.

I was actually quite surprised to find these rubber pieces on the radio. The overall feeling of the radio is kinda cheap but these pieces alone make the unit feel much more solid when flying. They offer good grip and are placed in the right positions.

The radio takes in four AA batteries but you can replace the battery holder with a 1300 mAh lipo-battery if needed.
